On January 22, 1997 the dead body of INXS singer Michael Hutchence was discovered in a hotel room in Sidney. He hanged himself with his belt. The circumstances of his dead have never been solved, and his fortune, es- timated between 10 to 20 million Australian dollars (7 – 14 million Euro) remains mis- sing. It has not been proofed if he has been killed or if it was a suicide. The beginning of his giant career goes back to the year 1977, when Michael became the singer of “Farriss Brothers” in Sidney. 2 days later “Farriss Bro- thers” switched into INXS and became one of the most popular Australian bands hitting the international charts. Their in the 80ties re- leased album was a big success Down Under and a few months later it thrilled the whole world. However the first single hit was only 4 years later in 1984 with “Original Sin” from their 4th album “The Swing”. Three years and two albums later INXS advanced definitely to superstars. They produced one hit after the other. In the year 2000 a solo album from Mi- chael Hutchence got released posthumously, however it hasn’t been a success. The album was simply called “Michael Hutchence”.
